Our Commitment to Academic Education
The Institute of Neuropathology and Neuromolecularpathology is actively involved in university teaching and offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students of Human Medicine, Molecular Medicine, and related disciplines.
Seminars and Lectures
Our courses include both theoretical and practical formats. In the fields of Human Medicine and Molecular Medicine, the teaching content is adapted to the latest scientific developments and tailored to the knowledge level of the students. This ensures that students gain a solid understanding of neuropathological and molecular relationships.
Participation in Degree Programs
The Institute plays a key role in the Extension Program for Medical Sciences, which is coordinated by Priv.-Doz. Dr. Claudia Manzl. This program is aimed at students who wish to acquire in-depth scientific competencies alongside their clinical studies.
Support for Young Researchers
We welcome Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from relevant fields of study. The Institute offers a variety of opportunities for project studies, internships, theses, and doctoral dissertations within an interdisciplinary research environment. Students benefit from close supervision and active involvement in ongoing research projects.
Contact Person for Students
For any questions regarding research, teaching, and educational opportunities, Anna Birkl-Töglhofer, PhD, is the primary contact person. She assists with internship placements, thesis topic selection, and provides information about current openings.
